KOR Transitional Housing Program is a faith-based program that strives to proactively provide a gateway to professional resources such as housing assistance, sober living, therapy, and community re-entry for individuals and family members with behavioral/mental health difficulties, Recovering PTSD, Maladaptive Behaviors (MB) and financial challenges. KOR sets goals to inform the community at large of the severity of veteran homelessness and career development among many other challenges that veterans in our community are faced with.
The main objective of KOR Inc. is to connect at-risk community members with resources that will provide veterans a chance to re-enter society as contributing citizens before adverse effects take place and create a positive alternative to combat homelessness.
KOR will provide the following:
Future Goals
Provide housing for families to prevent the trauma for children that sometimes comes from prolonged exposure to poverty-stricken communities.
Working with employment agencies to assist with employment for participants and non-participants to help communities thrive.
Working with training centers and corporations to help participants and their families’ members with gaining trade certifications or continued education for sustainable income.
Bi-Annual progress reports for all contributors (Funding and resource use, participants progress and new updates.
Today, in the United States, nearly 38,000 veterans experience homelessness, accounting for approximately 9% of all homeless adults. They deserve our support.
